Zion provides learning opportunities for all ages to grow in the faith. Sunday School for all ages and catechism classes are held on Sunday mornings after worship. Afternoon and evening Bible studies are held weekly. Throughout the year, classes on special topics are offered.
Sunday School at Zion serves children and their families from preschool aged 2, 3, and 4 to 5th grade. Sunday School follows our weekly worship service. Read more.
Youth in grades 6 through 12 participate in a variety of activities aimed at strengthening their Christian faith, growing spiritually and sharing friendships. Gatherings to discuss topics of special interest, area worship services, special service projects, mission opportunities, concerts and recreational events are

Adults have a variety of learning options to grow in their faith. From our Sunday morning Adult Discipleship Group to weekly Bible studies, spiritual gifts classes, Lenten small group discussions and a Women of the ELCA (W/ELCA) group, there are opportunities for everyone. Read more.
The 6 Marks of Discipleship
In his book Power Surge, the Rev. Dr. Michael W. Foss, an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) pastor, asks the question, “What would the church look like if its members were disciples?” He shares how at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN, marks of discipleship have been articulated as some of the practices of faith that will help bridge the gap between beliefs and behaviors. These disciplines of faith -- daily prayer, weekly worship, Bible reading, service, spiritual friendship and giving -- are based on Biblical and historical practices that have long characterized individuals with living, active faith. Zion’s health ministry team responds to the physical, emotional and spiritual health needs of members and the community by providing educational resources and programs, preventive services and referrals. Monthly blood pressure screenings and periodic guest speaker programs are among our services.
Do you know someone who is grieving the loss of a loved one? Bereavement materials that offer encouragement and supportive suggestions are available from a Health Ministry team member.
